Just saw the trailer for the Mass Effect 2 movie during a commercial break in the NFC championship game. Impressive!
Oh, wait, I’ve just been told that was for a video game. Remember when companies showed game play in their video game commercials?

I would have thought that after the Call of Duty 2: Big Red One incident in the UK would have made these machosists realize the importance of truth in advertising, but then again, FREEDOM OF SPEECH BABEE!
My comment on that game:
Call of Duty II: Big Red One Ad- Now this ad wasn’t any more offensive than the usual World War game ad that I usually see. However; this one got the ball rolling in the stupid department because the footage in the ad did not represent the game footage at ALL and it was removed from the UK due to deceptive advertising.

BWHAHAHAAHAHAHA! It’s about time someone actually invoked responsible ad design. Let’s face it folks; the reason why companies and their marketing manager pull these kinds of stunts (besides they usually can get away with it) is because if they showed the true graphics; everyone would demand their money back and shun the game because the graphics in a _war_ simulation aren’t _realistic_ enough even for a Xbox 360. Maybe it’s time for reality to take a long break from the gaming scene. Reality TV is fading away (American Idol not withstanding) because people have realized that fantasy just does reality a lot better (CSI anyone?).
The FCC should take a lesson from the ASA; which at least sounds good practice in law since the idiots refuse to realize what they are actually making.
