Why are there not more video games journalists like Rob Fahey over at GamesIndustry.biz? Is it a British thing?
Rob is definitely my favorite editorialist in the video game media industry.
If Rob really wants to impress me; then he should leave Gameindustry.biz and do his own blog so I won’t have to register just to read his editorials.
Gregory, GI.biz only recently required registration to read articles but it’s a trade publication for people in the industry more so than a consumer publication. It’s a small price to pay when for the benefit great content and commenting alongside dozens of big names in the industry.
I agree. And they recently opened up reg to “consumers” as well, if my memory serves correctly. Not a welcome change for me, but then again, I’m a snob.
Indeed. I wasn’t happy with the new “consumer” registration tier. It’s bad enough they allow students to comment (who are the source of practically all fanboyish comments ever posted) but having consumers jump in seems to take away that industry exclusive feeling it had.
Thankfully very few “consumers” have commented on anything.
