Low voltage

When you try and sell an FPS in an already oversaturated FPS market on a system that doesn’t exactly have the best track record for selling FPS games, this happens.

  1. Jack, those staff members were on the Tournament of Legends team. All studios drop redundant staff after reaching peak development on a title and don’t have a project to put them on.

It’s one of the more unfortunate aspects of the game development cycle. The really big studios can usually shift them to another project but if every project is already at capacity, even the big studios drop them.

This is also why development studios tend to spring near each other. So they can pick up experienced people that get dropped at the end of a games development cycle.

  2. I just wish big media pointed these things out more. People instantly draw a certain conclusion and most media outlets fail to provide the full details to prevent such conclusions.
