  1. I already hear the cries of, “3D is overrated/a fad” and “the NGP is better – that’s a *real* portable.” It’s like the moment Nintendo introduces, embraces, or improves on a formula, it’s something no one care about anyway.

Except for the time where they really REALLY cared. Like 3D TVs by Sony or 3D games on Sony systems…

    I’m seeing a pattern here.

  2. Actually it’s still two Gamecubes fasten with duct tape; only 3DS actually have graphical features the whiny third party can actually use; or so they claim. And HD is taken care of since 3DS has a wider screen and it’s crystal clear.

@Kevin: Yeah; never mind that NGP had only 16 games announced for the system when it was first shown with only Call of Duty, Dynasty Warriors and their first party offerings; while 3DS had over 70 when it was first shown at E3 including Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Street Fighter IV and many others; along with their usual first party offerings. And Steel Diver. And AR Games. And Face Raiders. Who sounds more prepared for the handheld market at this point?

Then again; my predictions about the press whoring over NGP came true. Now I wonder if the price and battery life details will come true too? Stay tuned…

  3. History continues to repeat, and this includes the predicable analyst and enthusiast press response. No games! Gimmick!

The hilarious thing about Nintendo products is their ability to show just how silly the mainstream video game press and analysts have become. Case in point, you can basically swap out the hardware or software at any point in their history and you’d have exactly the same articles over and over again. How no one sees this is beyond me. Isn’t doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result each time the very definition of insanity?

  4. Even worse Jack; the goofballs are doing it to a market where Nintendo is THE FAVORITE year in and year out. Same articles huh? When does doing the same thing over and over it no longer become insanity and become fraud instead? Or even both for that matter?

In this case; at e3 they did care and wrote those praise articles just to deflect the fact that it still had the Nintendo label and they had a vested interest to hate it in spite of actually honestly liking the system anyway. It’s like watching them act like Squidward claiming that he hates Krabby Patties; when we all know that he cannot resist despite all attempts to deflect the obvious.

    Dishonesty much there fellows?
