Shorter Sony: Please stop asking about the PlayStation Network.
Category Archives: Gears of Failure
SOE, SOL
More security news from Sony, the company that is trying its darnedest to not have any online presence whatsoever by 2012.
Sounds like Sony
Nintendo’s 3DS tagline should be something we’ve seen plenty of times before, just not typically from them: Overprice and under-deliver.
Your fault
Nintendo takes a page from the competition it so hoped to distance itself with using the Wii and blames consumers for the 3DS’s lower-than-expected sales. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Pains me to say it…
…but I’m going to have an extra $250 in my pocket for the foreseeable future.
Old college try
With the 3DS nearly here and the Kinect selling like gangbusters over the Move, Sony has something it wants to say:
Please, please don’t forget about the PS3! It has 3D!
Gaming the system
Homefront review scores hit, and they’re not great. THQ stock price drops 25% almost as soon as the review scores go live. Analyst Michael Pachter hits the newswire to say the two are related.
“Analysis”
I can do this too. Where’s my Porsche?
Weepy
If at first you don’t succeed, just call it a legacy platform.
New rule
With apologies to Bill Maher, all future games must involve killing something or disproportionately-enhanced females. Crytek’s over-reported, overblown CryEngine demo told me so when it was advertised as the future of gaming.
Three duh
Nintendo and third party developers would be doing the entire gaming world a favor if they’d drop the “3D” from all upcoming 3DS titles immediately and without explanation. None is necessary.
