I mean, it's apparently taken from: 'An anonymous source that supposedly works within Nintendo', which might as well be the janitor. It's no more plausible than saying 'my friend's uncle works at Nintendo and says'. Not to mention, their recent articles have tended towards industry cliches about smartphones and unused ideas, and might as well have come from an internet message board. He says 'A retailer is not allowed to open up a product labeled ‘new’, take something out which interferes with an agreement the game company made, and then sell the product as if it had never been opened.', and I think he's onto something.
