With the 3DS nearly here and the Kinect selling like gangbusters over the Move, Sony has something it wants to say:
Please, please don’t forget about the PS3! It has 3D!

It’d be really great if the 3DS didn’t follow the lead of what’s currently happening in the 3D space and decided not to put out games that feature cliche items flying at or pointing at the viewer from the inside the screen.
Goes for third parties too, although these Capcom screens (while really sharp) aren’t too encouraging.
Now we’re just kicking Sony when they’re down. Not fair, not fair! Uncle!
Christpher Nolan hates 3D. I hate 3D. Therefore, I’m also going to be an amazing filmmaker? Sadly no, but it means I’m in really good company believing 3D (caveat: with glasses) is a bodacious failure. Sorry Sony!
Ever notice how Ubisoft is always “that guy” when something new comes out, and is always the one that throws as much shit at it as possible on day one, without much thought? It’s happening again!
Getting people to move from analog to digital in the U.S. was like pulling teeth, yet Ubisoft’s head UK marketing Murray Pannel seems to think the transition to 3D will be such a breeze that “everyone” will have one by 2013. 3D is going to be like pulling off the entire head!
Nintendo is struggling to define how it will market a new portable, in this case the wildly well-received 3DS, to a market that cannot see the 3D effects on their TV, computer or mobile screens.
The 3DS. The lines speak for themselves.
Bigger flop: Nintendo Virtual Boy or Sony’s attempt to cram 3D gaming down our throats?
Sony is sponsoring a 3D gaming forum. Are they the only ones attending?
The 3D gimmick is, and will be, an absolute bust. Now there’s brain-busting science to support that opinion. Maybe gaming companies can finally stop avoiding the “let’s focus on making good software that’s actually worth $60″ conversation?
