I’m more excited about the PlayStation Vita than the inevitable 3DS “we really, really fucked up” redesign.
“Nintendo’s rollout for the 3DS is one of the sloppiest product launches in recent memory.”
“Damn it, boys, we have to do something about this 3DS mess! Quick, what’s that show we never exhibit at, ever? TGS! Yeah, let’s do something there. What? I dunno, anything. Anything would be better than what we’ve been doing.”

How ironic that the idea of “good enough”—which had been so lucrative for Nintendo with the DS and Wii—will ultimately be the company’s undoing. At least in the portable market.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata told everyone he was unconcerned with the iPhone (and smartphones in general) in regards to how they might affect Nintendo’s portable sales and that appears to be completely untrue. Weird.
Wii U could have been handheld; was in development the moment GameCube 2.0 went out the door.
Shorter Nintendo E3 keynote: We’re sorry for all that stuff we did between 2006-2011. Please forgive us.
Nintendo, circa 2011: The year it was revealed they didn’t know what they were doing from the beginning.
Name jokes. Questions about specs. “Appeasing the hardcore.”
Did Nintendo reveal new hardware or something?
